Arrive Delhi Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the Hotel for check in and your overnight.
Delhi/Raipur/Kawardha In the morning, transfer to the Domestic Airport for your flight to Raipur. Upon arrival you will be met and driven about 75 miles to the former Princely State of Kawardha. In the afternoon you will take a tour of the nearby cultural sites. Return to the Palace at sunset followed by a welcome drink to meet the royal family, enjoy dinner along with traditional Chattisgarhi dance. Overnight at Kawardha Palace.
Kawardha After breakfast, a well-versed Palace guide will accompany you on an introduction to the secrets of Kawardha's little-known natural and tribal world. You will meet the gentle and friendly people of the Gond and Baiga tribes, the principal indigenous forest tribes, and enjoy a picnic lunch with them. After lunch, visit the famous, and enchanting Bhoramdeo Temple. In the evening, return to the Palace to freshen up before dinner with the royal family. Overnight at Kawardha Palace.
Kawardha/Kanker After breakfast you will start for the Princely State of Kanker. Lunch will either be picnic style, or at a hotel in Raipur along the way. Upon arrival at Kanker Palace, you will receive the traditional welcome. After freshening up, you will be entertained by Chattisgarh folk musicians with music and dance over beverages and pre-dinner snacks. Members of the royal family will join you to share their insights into life of the region. Overnight at Kanker Palace.
Kanker After breakfast at the Palace, the Bastar tribal experience begins. South of Kanker you and your royal guide drive along the forested Keshkal Ghat, which marks the border of Bastar 500m above the plain. Here you will see some spectacular views of the tropical jungle below, and encounter the special nature of North Bastar. Later on, you will visit the village of the Deer-Horn Murai Tribe to catch a glimpse of the Ghotul System. Here you will be their guest and enjoy the wonderful village food with some local tardy. After lunch, you could catch a glimpse of a small tribal market before returning to the Palace for your overnight.
